A BEWDLEY hotel has been earmarked as a new home for asylum seekers by the Home Office.
Whilst it has not been officially confirmed, the Heath Hotel, previously run by Mercure, could become a new centre for those seeking asylum, The Shuttle understands.
This comes a fortnight after the announcement that the nearby Gainsborough House Hotel on Bewdley Hill, Kidderminster will be used to rehouse asylum seekers.

The Heath Hotel, which is currently closed, went up for sale two years ago for £2.8m and is located off Habberley Road.
When it was open as a hotel, the Mercure hosted weddings and events, with facilities, including bars, a restaurant, a health club, a 25-metre swimming pool, a large gym and a spa with a steam room and sauna.
The Home Office would neither confirm or deny that they would be using the hotel.
