Madam,
Building on agricultural land does not make any sense when we only grow 61% of our own food. With the threat of climate change growing by the day, country's around the world are going to struggle to feed themselves with rising sea levels and droughts.
We should use brown field sites and the empty buildings we see around town and in the country as a whole.
We should also take a leaf out of the Dutch government 's book by reclaiming land from the sea and building our flood and sea defences.
We should also be investing in the future for our children saving what country side we have left and not allow short term profits by investors who are devouring our country.
If we do not put a stop to this now our green and pleasant land will end up covered in concrete.
