KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have lodged a planning application for brand new floodlights following their FA Cup success.

The club, which nearly upset West Ham in the fourth round earlier this year, looks to improve Aggborough Stadium by installing LED lights.

The planning application states: “Our proposal, following the success of the FA Cup, is to upgrade the floodlights existing floodlights to LED units, which are more energy efficient and create a reduced amount of light spill outside of our site”.

According to the plans, there will be no change to the height of the floodlight, with only the light units at the top being altered.

Plans were submitted to Wyre Forest District Council last week.

On February 5, underdogs Kidderminster were cruelly knocked out of the fourth round of the FA Cup after coming close to embarrassing their Premier League opponents.

The Hammers equalised in stoppage time and scored the winner in extra time.
