TOILETS at Riverside Meadows in Stourport are now under new ownership.
Stourport Town Council will now be responsible for the toilets after ownership was transferred from Wyre Forest District Council.
The transfer is part of the localism initiative which gives town and parish councils, and community organisations, the opportunity to have a more significant role in the way services are delivered.
On Facebook, Wyre Forest District Council posted: "Our localism strategy is about bringing services closer to communities. We are supporting town and parish councils and other local organisations to take ownership of assets or to run services their communities value.
"Our latest project has seen the handing over of the toilets at Riverside Meadows in Stourport-on-Severn to Stourport Town Council.
"Next month, we are expecting to hand over Bewdley’s Load Street toilets to Bewdley Town Council".
