A WYRE Forest cafe has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Cafe Chad at St Chad's Church, Burcher Green, Kidderminster, was given the maximum score after assessment on April 6, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Wyre Forest's 120 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 83 (69%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
