NEW bus services have now been introduced in Wyre Forest as part of changes made by Diamond West Midlands.

The company are now operating three new services, the S15 from Kidderminster to Bewdley, the 294 from Kidderminster to Worcester, and the 296 from Bewdley to Worcester.

The S15 starts at Kidderminster Bus Station before travelling through parts of Hartlebury and Stourport to reach its final stop at Load Street in Bewdley.

The S15 runs from Monday to Friday, and the buses to Worcester are running from Monday to Saturday.

The new services started earlier this week on Monday (June 20).

Meanwhile, Diamond proposes to withdraw the 8 services from Bewdley to Kidderminster, explaining that the service is "unsustainable at current passenger levels."

However, they also propose to reinstate the 2 services from Bewdley to Kidderminster if the 8 service is withdrawn.

This is part of a review of services across the region.

In a statement Diamond West Midlands said: "As we move forward from a very difficult period during Covid we want to encourage passengers back to support their local bus network. We have continued investing in our business to provide a strong local network, but in order to maintain that long term we need passenger levels to return to how they were before the pandemic.

"Currently, we envisage that service reviews will be undertaken over the coming months, with service changes and fare revisions to be implemented by 28th August 2022".
