A CONTACT lens optician set her sights on a free-running event raising £175 for an emergency service charity.
Rebekah Fielding, who works at Specsavers Kidderminster took part in the Summer Wolf Run on Saturday, June 4 in a bid to raise funds for Droitwich Community First Responders.
Rebekah was tasked with obstacles, mud trails and lakes over a 10km course through woodlands and fields around Stanford Hall, completing the run in just under two hours, and raising more than £170.
Specsavers store director Emma Singh said: "We’re so proud of Rebekah for taking on the challenge for such an important cause.
"The Droitwich First Responders are a fantastic charity, and it was a great way to raise some money and show our appreciation for the work they do in our community".
The Droitwich First Responders are volunteers who respond to emergency 999 calls within their local community, providing life-saving skills to patients until an emergency ambulance vehicle arrives.
