KIDDERMINSTER residents have shared their sadness at the announcement that a popular restaurant has closed after 25 years.

The management of La Brasserie, located on Lower Mill Street, Kidderminster, said it was "with a heavy heart" that they have now stopped trading.

Reacting to the news, one Facebook user said: "It was a fantastic restaurant with fantastic staff. You will be so missed. I have had so many meals there as well as celebrations. Thank you for trying so hard over the past couple of difficult years".

“Sorry to hear about the news we have lost a great restaurant,” said another resident.

Another described it as a "sad loss for Kidderminster."

Kidderminster takeaway business Curry King also paid tribute to the long-running a la carte restaurant.

A post on Facebook said: "These guys sustained top quality food and service for the last 25 years”.

Another Facebook user said: "La Brasserie was my favourite restaurant in Kidderminster and surrounding area. You are going to be greatly missed. Wishing all the staff well for the future".

A statement on the La Brasserie website said: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce that La Brasserie has now ceased trading.

"We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last 25 years".
