VOTERS are going to the polls today (Thursday, July 14) in a by-election triggered after a councillor resigned.
The by-election is to fill the Stourport Central ward vacancy on Stourport Town Council.
Gary Talbot resigned as a councillor over Islamophobic tweets which were criticised by social media users.
In the by-election, Nick Bartram-Savage is the Labour candidate, John Byng is the Conservative candidate, and Tim Schmeising-Barnes is the Liberal Democrat candidate.
Postal voters who live in the ward and haven’t sent back their ballot paper, can hand it into Stourport Workmen's Club polling station before 10pm.
