AMBITIOUS theatre arts group Talking Props is preparing for its latest production but need some new talent to help them make it work.

The Kidderminster based group will be staging an open day at their Green Street headquarters on Monday August 15 and are eager for youngsters to come along and showcase their talents.

Talking Props will be on the lookout for any budding actors, singers and dancers who would like to take part in their next production of Shrek Jr the musical.

Previous Talking Props musicals have featured Les Miserables, Hairspray, Moana and Grease which have proved a launchpad for students going onto train with some of the UK’s leading stage schools.

Director Michael Neri said: “We have a handful of places left in our junior and intermediate groups so we would love to welcome some new faces to our cohort”.

Anyone aged between six to 18 is welcome to the open day which takes place from 11am until 3pm and try some of the classes, see the studios and find out more about their upcoming musicals.

It’s the ninth year that Talking Props have been producing productions but the first time that an adaptation of Shrek has come to the Wyre Forest in musical formation
