A BEWDLEY-based distillery is appealing to the community to organise their own litter picks to protect wildlife over the summer holidays.
Wildjac, which specialises in botanical spirits, is holding an Instagram competition with prizes up for grabs for the most impressive litter haul on the platform.
The eco-distiller is also donating 10 per cent of the sale price of every bottle of its new Pink Grapefruit and Lime Gin to Keep Britain Tidy – for all bottles purchased during July and August.
Aster Sadler, co-founder, Wildjac Distillery said: “As a sustainable business we wanted to do our bit over the summer to encourage people to get involved in cleaning up the local community.
“We rely on many locally foraged ingredients to make our spirits and place great value in respecting our local environment and encouraging others to do the same.
“As a mum of two I know how tricky it can be to keep little ones entertained over the holidays and litter picking is a great activity to get involved in.
“Not only do you get fresh air and exercise, but you’re also helping to keep wild animals safe and our local environment as beautiful as possible.”
