West Mercia Police has also issued some advice if someone falls into water, warning that even though cool water may look tempting in a heatwave it is still very dangerous.
⚠️ Cool blue water can look tempting, but even in the warm weather the dangers of swimming in rivers and quarries remains the same.

If you fall into water:
⏲️ Take a minute, don't try to swim straight away
😌 Relax and float to catch you breath
🗣️ Keep calm and call for help pic.twitter.com/B7rWUjROev
