KIDDERMINSTER Scouts and Guides will take part in the town's annual St. George's Day Parade in the town and church services on Sunday, April 27.

The parade will begin at 10am in New Road, featuring both the Stourport and Bewdley Scout and Guide Bands and the Halesowen Scout Band.

The KD 10 (Cookley) group will lead the march along New Road, up Prospect Hill and along Bromsgrove Street, where the Guides, Brownies and Rainbows, led by the Halesowen band, will continue to Baxter Church, via Coventry Street, High Street and the Bull Ring.

Guests attending the service will include county commissioner, Jo Chester, Kidderminster divsional commissioner, Sheila Gordon and district commissioner, Pauline Chell.

The Scouts Explorers, Cubs and Beavers will continue over the ring road to Radford Avenue, where the Cubs and Beavers will enter St. George's Church.

The Scouts and Explorers will continue to St. Mary's Church, via Churchfields, where guests will include MP Wyre Forest MP, Dr Richard Taylor.

On the return, the salute will be taken in Bromsgrove Street and the parade will arrive back in New Road at about 12.30pm.
