MARCUS HART (Conservative): I was first elected to represent Sutton Park in 2002. I also serve on Worcestershire County Council, having been elected to the St John's Division in 2005, representing many Sutton Park residents on county council issues as well. Since first elected, I have worked tirelessly on many issues. I have fought for much needed highway improvements, cleaner streets, lower council tax, whilst maintaining good public services. I have also represented residents on major planning issues. I have been a tireless campaigner for major road junction improvements at Sutton Park Road and Bewdley Hill and will continue to lobby the county council for a long term solution to this problem. I will continue to fight for much needed road resurfacing within parts of the ward. I believe that being a local politician is about working hard all year round and not just at election time. I believe that I do this through keeping in touch with regular newsletters. I keep residents informed of important local issues affecting the area. I also hold regular ward surgeries and am easily contactable. I am involved heavily in the local community, sitting on both the Sutton Park Primary School and Baxter College governing bodies. I sit on the PACT panel and attend the meetings and deal with residents issues wherever I can. I also attend the Friends of Brinton Park group and the Hillcrest Residents' Association meetings. I also attend Wyre Forest Community Housing Tennants meetings.
