A PLAN to build new homes on a vacant site in Stourport has been approved by Wyre Forest District Council.

The plan is for two new detached houses with four bedrooms on land facing Hartlebury Road.

The site has had several applications for new homes approved previously by Wyre Forest District Council.

This latest application was submitted just before Christmas and was approved last week.

In front of the site there is a bus stop and lay-by and part of the plan is to relocate the bus stop and bus shelter and to re-instate the kerb and pavement.

A drop kerb in Hartlebury Road is also proposed to access both homes.

The scheme allows for enough hardstanding area in front of each home for parking two cars and enough area to turn around and be able to drive forward while exiting the site, according to the plans.
