A PLAN to demolish a former Kidderminster care home to make way for new homes has been given the thumbs up.
A planning application to build 18 new homes at the site of the Grange care home, and 164 Sutton Park Road, was lodged by Cameron Homes in October 2022.
The plan went before Wyre Forest District Council’s planning committee at a meeting on Tuesday evening. The new homes plan was approved by the committee and construction work will begin in Spring.
Steve Cassie, development director at Cameron Homes said: "We are obviously delighted that the Planning Committee endorsed the approval of our scheme and we look forward to starting development on the site in the early Spring.
"Details of when the homes will coming to the market will be available on the Cameron Homes website shortly".
