A PARTIALLY dressed butler "thrilled" residents of a Bewdley nursing home for a Valentine's Day treat.

When Summerdyne Nursing Home asked residents what they wanted for Valentine's Day, they said a "nice young man to bring me a glass of champagne and a red rose and another to sing for them."

The management at the home rose to the occasion and got in touch with Buff Boyz Butlers, which offers "handsome butlers for events."

Former X Factor contestant Richard Ryan from Kidderminster performed a variety of love songs, whilst Brandon the butler delivered fresh red roses and champagne to all.

A spokesperson for the care home said: "The outcome of the day was to give the residents what they wanted but, in a way, that was respectful, dignified and tasteful.

"The atmosphere at the nursing home on Valentine’s Day was truly delightful, as the presence of a partially clothed butler provided an experience like no other.

"Residents were thrilled with the day and said they couldn't have asked for anything more. Our chef prepared and cooked a Valentine's meal and more bubbles and fizz were served throughout the day.

"It was certainly a Valentine's Day to remember and one that has brought so many smiles and laughs to everyone".
