SOME season ticket holders have spoken of their disappointment at not being invited to Atlas’ presentation event at Sixways this this Saturday.

The new owners will outline their plans for the future of Worcester Warriors amid plans to bring semi-professional club Stourbridge RFC to Sixways under the new name of ‘Sixways Rugby’.

Atlas’ directors Jim O’Toole and James Sandford have invited 550 supporters to the event to discuss their plans but also to hear the concerns of the fan-base.

And those concerns were heightened after the news on Wednesday that Worcester Warriors would not be competing in the Championship next season

But not all were invited – even some season-ticket holders – and now the event is reportedly sold out.  On the official Warriors Supporters Group page on Facebook, a number of season ticket holders confirmed they had not received an invite.

Stephen Griffiths said: "I never had an invite and hold three season tickets."

"I am a season ticket holder and never had an invite,” added Jake Davies.

Sara Parry said she had been offered an invite but when trying to book tickets, was told they had been sold out: "Yes I got send the invite but no room at the inn even for season ticket holders!"

Another of those, Jack Foulkes, has held a season ticket for five years and was upset to not have been invited to have his say.

"I didn't get anything through via email sadly. I have been a season ticket holder for the last 5 years," he said.

"I'm quite concerned about the direction of the club at present. Not sure I could bring myself to watch Wasps at Sixways unless they took on Worcester in the name and had Dimes (Steve Diamond) as director of rugby."

Some have even said they do not even wish to go to the event on Saturday, such is their anger at the situation unfolding.

Head of the Warriors Supporter Group, Bob Low, is taking a coach of fans to watch ex-Worcester boys at Bath on Saturday.

The Worcester News will be attending the Sixways event on Saturday and will have reaction from it afterwards.
