THE new Mayor of Bewdley has now been appointed for the coming year.
At the Annual Town Council meeting on May 15, Bewdley elected their new mayor, councillor Sarah Billett.
She will be supported by her niece Izzy Horton as consort.
Councillor Emily Bourne was elected as Deputy Mayor for the coming year.
In her role as mayor, councillor Billett says she is looking forward to representing and supporting the town at a wide range of functions across the region, including charity, community and formal events.
She has chosen to support the William Mills Foundation, a charity which supports young people in Bewdley and across Worcestershire by removing the barriers that prevent them from reaching their potential.
The charity has also been instrumental in the reopening of a Youth Centre in Bewdley.
