A STOURPORT cafe and restaurant is celebrating after achieving a five-star food hygiene rating for the fourteenth consecutive year.

The Windlass, a family-run business which opened in 2009 at Severn Side, was given top marks by the Food Standards Agency following a recent inspection.

In a post on Facebook, the cafe said: "Congratulations to the entire team at Windlass on an exceptional achievement.

"Winning a 5-star health rating for the 14th consecutive year is truly remarkable, and it's a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.

"I would like to extend our gratitude to Sharron and all the staff who have been a part of the Windlass Cafe family.

"Your unwavering commitment and passion have been instrumental in achieving this outstanding milestone.

"By putting your heart and soul into your work, you have consistently maintained the highest standards and created a welcoming environment for our customers.

"Here's to many more successful years ahead, as we continue to uphold our high standards and provide a memorable dining experience for our customers.

Ratings are published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.
