A wedding planner from Bromsgrove has finally made her dreams come true by planning her own big day.

Staci Williams is used to helping couples across the region make lasting memories, but her latest assignment turned out to be the most unique yet after planning her own nuptials at the venue where she works.

The wedding and events manager has worked at Brockencote Hall Hotel in Chaddesley Corbett for the past four years, so when her partner, Adam, from Stourbridge, proposed at their home in December 2021, the pair had no doubts about where they would tie the knot.

Ms Williams said: “We were both thinking about what we wanted from the day like the right food, accommodation, space and layout and a lovely setting and it just dawned on us that we already knew the place that provided all of that.

“When you’ve been in the wedding industry for over 10 years, finally having your own wedding day is a completely surreal experience, so to then plan my wedding and have it at Brockencote made it even more fantastic.

“It could not have gone any better really and we are delighted with the end results after all the hard work we put in.”

The 32-year-old was inspired by some of the brides and grooms she has helped over the years and enjoyed personalising the occasion with embroidered napkins, a Nando’s-inspired menu and using their welcome board as the wedding guest book.

She also worked with many of her trusted local suppliers all of which are based within a 20-mile radius of Brockencote Hall, a luxury country house with French-inspired architecture and 21 individually styled guest bedrooms.

Ms Williams, who has helped the hotel win numerous awards including ‘Wedding Venue Hotel of the Year’ at The Wedding Industry Awards 2023, said: “I put a lot of thought into making sure everything was meaningful as that’s something I always encourage with couples.

“Our first dance was performed by the band to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’, which is what Adam proposed to me with, and I also arranged for my dance teacher of 20 years to choreograph a father-daughter routine which was a really special moment.

“As a wedding planner, I’m there to take on the stress for my couples, but I actually loved being able to plan my own wedding, so I didn’t mind it at all. In fact, I would do it again if I could, but you can only do it once.”
