THE first snowfall of the winter has blanketed some of Worcestershire overnight.

Some people living in Kidderminster and Bewdley have woken to snowy scenes this morning.

Ben Homes shared his pictures on the Kidderminster Matters Facebook site of a snowy Severnside South in Bewdley this morning (Sunday December 3).

A Met Office yellow weather warning was issued from 6pm yesterday to last till noon today, with snow predicted to fall overnight.

It warned that snow and ice may lead to some disruption to transport and infrastructure.

The Met Office said some roads and railways are "likely to be affected" by the conditions, with longer journey times to be expected by road, bus and train.

The Met Office added that there would probably be some icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths resulting in "some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces".

The latest Kidderminster and Bewdley forecasts show it doesn't look like any more snow is on the way - with rain predicted today and tomorrow.
