A BRAND new street food joint serving up "banging burgers" will open its doors later this week.

Hillbilly’s Street Kitchen proved a hit with customers since opening in Malvern Link in 2022, prompting the owners to look elsewhere in the county for new opportunities.

The business is now set to open a new restaurant at Worley's Hope & Anchor, in Stourport on Friday (February 23). The Hope & Anchor was previously home to Arjee Bhajee curry house.

The pub has been completely renovated by the team at Hillbilly’s Street Kitchen.

The dishes on offer will be "epic" street food, with "banging burgers, loaded fries, saucy wings and mouth-watering sides" on the menu.

The restaurant also has a fully stocked bar with a selection of beers, ales and speciality spirits.

Richard Dixon, Hillbilly’s Street Kitchen co-owner and chef, said: “We want to thank everyone for the amazing support we have had so far.

"The Stourport community has been so welcoming. Really excited to see you all on Friday".

People have shared their excitement about the opening on social media.

Emily Beckingham said: "Absolutely cannot wait for this. When we were in Malvern a couple months back we had the best burgers we ever had from Hillbilly's".

Lydia Pitt said: "Can’t wait to show our support. Not long now."

Anna Worley added: "So excited for this, can't wait to try it."

The new restaurant is set to open on Friday from 4pm.

The initial opening times for the business will be 4pm until 9.30pm from Thursday to Sunday, for dine-in and takeaway.

The team plans to eventually increase the opening hours of the restaurant.
