A school in Kidderminster has reassured parents following a police incident this morning.
Baxter College, located on Habberley Road, warned parents and carers about a police cordon that was in place on Habberley playing field.
The school reassured parents that the incident did not happen on the school field and had ensured that staff were present on the main school drive to direct students safely onto the school site.
In the statement, issued today (Monday, April 8), Baxter College said: "There is a police cordon on the Habberley playing field this morning, not the school field.
"We ensured a staff presence on the main school drive so that students entered the school site safely.
"When we receive any further updates, we will be in contact again."
West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service have been approached for a comment.
