A SHOPKEEPER has spoken of his “shock” after robbers demanded he hand over “all his money”.
Harish Parmar, who runs H&C Stores at Severn Grove, Kidderminster, was the victim of a robbery this morning (Thursday, April 18).
The till at the convenience store was stolen in the raid - which contained around £700.
Mr Parmar said two people walked into his shop this morning, with one demanding: "Give me all your money.”
He told the Shuttle: “I thought he was just joking.
"I've been here 14 years, nobody has done anything like that. It put me in shock”.
He explained that one of the robbers “jumped” over the counter and picked up the till containing hundreds in cash before running away from the shop.
He said: “It just happened in half and minute and they just ran away”.
When asked if he was frightened by the incident, he said: “It happened too fast, my head was going round. I couldn’t think straight”.
West Mercia Police have confirmed that an arrest has been made following the robbery.
A spokesperson for the force said: "There is currently an increased police presence in Kidderminster after a robbery at a convenience store.
"Police were called around 9.25am earlier this morning (Thursday 18 April) after two men went into the store in Severn Grove.
"No-one has been injured. One man has been arrested and is currently in police custody".
