THE sudden death of a "beloved" staff member at a Kidderminster doctors' surgery has been announced.
The Church Street Surgery announced the sad news on social media this morning (Tuesday June 4).
It said in a message: "Due to a sudden bereavement of a staff member this morning responses to all requests are likely to be delayed.
"Please bear with us as we grieve for our beloved staff member #bekind."
Stourport Medical Centre said its staff would be helping out at the Church Street surgery.
It shared a message saying the sad news would "delay processes" and urged people to only make contact today with urgent needs.
It said: "Due to a sudden staff bereavement at one of our other sites, our reception team are supporting and we will therefore be very thin on the ground at SMC.
"There will be a delay in our processes.
"Please only contact us if your need is urgent today and please be patient.
"Thanks for your understanding."
People responded with messages of concern.
One said: "Very sad news, thoughts are with you all x."
Another said: "Condolences to the family and colleagues, so sad.
"Wishing the team the very best."
A spokesperson for the Church Street Surgery said it did not wish to make any further comment at this time.
