A MEMORIAL service is set to be held for former Bewdley mayor and district councillor Louise Edginton who died last month.
Mrs Edginton served on a combination of Bewdley Town Council, Wyre Forest District Council and Worcestershire County for nearly 40 years and lived in the town approaching 70 years, serving as mayor in 2006 and bestowed Honorary Freeman in 2014.
She passed away aged 94 on Saturday, May 11.
Her daughter Calne Edginton-White, who is currently a serving member of Bewdley Town Council, has now shared details of a memorial service set to be held later this month.
She said: "We would like to thank everyone for the many lovely messages, cards and condolences received on the passing of Louise Edginton.
"Louise’s funeral on Wednesday 12th June will be followed by a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at St Anne’s Church Bewdley 3.30 p.m".
