A road in Kidderminster is set to be closed from next week for utility work.
According to the Worcestershire County Council website, the B4190 Habberley Road will be closed from 8am on Monday, August 5.
The work is being carried out by Energy Assets Pipelines Limited and there is a valid permit in place until 5pm on Wednesday, August 14.
A description of the work said: "To excavate the carriageway and complete gas road crossing and to complete excavation in the verge and all gas mains lay in preparation to make site live."
There is a diversion in place via Habberley Lane, Franche Road, Proud Cross Ringway, Bewdley Road, Bewdley Hill, Kidderminster Road, Habberley Road and vice versa.
Emergency access cannot be maintained but the county council said an alternative route will be provided for pedestrians.
Delays are likely throughout the duration of the work.
