A WOMAN has died and another has been injured in a horror crash involving a car and a lorry.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A449, Summerfield, near Kidderminster, at 4.50pm on Sunday, August 4).
Three ambulances, three paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene.
The Worcestershire County Council highways team said the incident happened near the Mare & Colt pub
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “On arrival crews found a collision involving a car and a lorry.
"The passenger of the car, a woman, was in a critical condition. The team of ambulance staff worked together to provide advanced life support on scene but sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed deceased on scene a short time later.
“The driver of the car, a woman, was assessed and found to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment on scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further trauma care.
“The lorry driver was uninjured.”
