POLICE have appealed for witnesses to come forward and anyone with dashcam footage after a woman died in a horror crash on the A449 at Kidderminster yesterday (Sunday August 4).
An 84-year-old woman died at the scene of the incident, involving a lorry and a black Land Rover Discovery, despite the efforts of emergency medics who tried to save her.
The woman was a passenger in the Land Rover which collided with the lorry at the junction with Summerfield Lane, near to the Mare and Colt pub, just after 4.50pm.
The driver of the car, a woman, was taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.
The lorry driver was uninjured.
West Mercia Police are investigating the incident and a spokesperson for the force said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or have dash-cam footage of it.”
