A DRIVER has been fined after he was caught driving over 60mph on the motorway near Worcester.
Wilson Ogbu was caught exceeding a temporary 60mph limit by an automatic camera on the M5 southbound near junction 8 (Strensham Services).
The 51-year-old of Oakenholt House, Hartslock Drive, London, had his case heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 8.
He was behind the wheel of a Honda when he broke the temporary limit, imposed due to 'road works', on December 15 last year.
The case was proved via the single justice procedure on the day of the hearing at the court in Castle Street.
Ogbu was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88 and costs of £90. A collection order was also made, giving the court additional powers to recover the money.
His driving record was also endorsed with three penalty points.
