MUCH is said about community involvement, especially between the police and the public where we are encouraged to discuss matters of concern with local PCSOs (Police Community Support Officers).
To this end, the week before last there was to be such a meeting on the White Wickets (in Kidderminster).
This was so poorly organised that the notification only went live at 10.54am on the day for a 12 noon start.
Previously, a similar meeting was arranged in the B&Q car park, not that the management of B&Q were informed of the event.
I personally attended only to find no police presence at all.
As a result, I had a wasted journey, a far from satisfactory outcome all-round.
If community involvement is allegedly so important, surely such events need to be better organised with longer notice periods being the order of the day.
