Police have announced free self-defence courses for women and girls in Wyre Forest.
Self-defence sessions at Wyre Forest Leisure Centre in Kidderminster will be open to women and girls aged 12 years and over.
Participants can learn techniques to protect themselves in the event of a physical assault as part of police efforts to combat violence against women and girls.
In a post, Wyre Forest Police said: "If you are female and feel this session would be useful for you please get in touch by emailing ofpsp.snt@westmercia.police.uk quoting VAWG in the subject line.
"We will then be in touch with you to confirm your place on your chosen session. We will be taking reservations on a first come first served basis."
Sessions will be hosted on the following dates:
• Wednesday, September 25 from 8pm until 9pm
• Wednesday, October 2 from 8pm until 9pm
• Wednesday, October 9 from 8pm until 9pm
• Wednesday, October 16 from 8pm until 9pm
