A team of Explorer Scouts won a prestigious trophy after a weekend of challenges.
16th Wyre Forest (St Michael's) Explorer Scout Unit, based in Stourport, emerged victorious at the annual competition camp, Camp Cockerel, organised by Scouts Wyre Forest.
Held in November, the event saw 27 teams of Explorer Scouts from across the Hereford and Worcester Scout County compete at Rhydd Covert Scout Campsite in Kidderminster.
It tested participants' teamwork, navigation skills, and more, with a highlight being a 10-mile night-time incident hike around the Wyre Forest area.
The team won the overall event, claiming the Camp Cockerel Trophy, and also won both the daytime and night-time challenge shields.
Mark Atkinson, the leader for the unit, said: "I am incredibly proud of my explorers for competing in this challenging event against so many other teams.
"They went away, put in the effort, and came back much stronger this year, winning by over 300 points."
