A talk on the history of Brinton Park will launch a series of events by the Kidderminster Historical Society.

Phil Ginnings, a historian and tour guide, will deliver the talk on January 9, 2025, at the Museum of Carpet.

Mr Ginnings, who also chairs the Friends of Brinton Park, will discuss the park's historical significance and its future improvements.

The talk will delve into the park’s past, with stories about the people and facilities that have contributed to its status as a heritage park.

He became interested in Brinton Park during the campaign by Wyre Forest District Council to secure Heritage Lottery Funding.

The society’s programme of talks resumes after the Christmas break with this event.

The meeting begins at 2.30pm.

A small fee is required for non-members.

Further details about the Society’s activities can be found at the Kidderminster Historical Society website.
