A PILOT has delivered an early festive present by drawing the outline of a Christmas tree on a flight radar.

The Piper plane at 2,400 feet above Gloucestershire produced the image of a clear green tree rendered on the flight tracking website Flightradar24.

The tree - completed with baubles - stretched for several kilometers starting and finishing in Gloucester.

The plane flew for more than an hour and reached different altitudes.

It crossed over towns and cities such as Ledbury, Stourport on Severn and Worcester.

Flightradar24 is a live flight-tracking website that shows air traffic in real time.
