HUNDREDS of BT landlines are down in homes in the Stourport area this morning (Saturday, March 8).

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have alerted residents of the issue.

The fire brigade has said that BT has reported that around 590 landlines are unavailable in the Stourport area.

The services are expected to be restored at around 12.30pm this afternoon.

They have reminded residents that the issue doesn't affect mobile phones when people need to report an emergency.

In a post on X, HW Fire Control said: "BT have reported that approx 590 BT landlines are unavailable to use in the Stourport area and are expected to be restored at approx 1230 hrs today.

"This does not affect mobile phones. So please use these to report any emergency".
