A THEATRE group is set to perform Les Misérables in Kidderminster for the first time.

Talking Props Theatre Arts has announced its production of the Les Misérables School Edition at The Rose Theatre.

The show will run from Tuesday, July 15 to Saturday, July 19, with an extra performance added on Tuesday evening due to demand.

The play will feature students aged six to 18 and a 14-piece live orchestra.

Set in 19th-century France, the musical tells stories of justice, revolution, sacrifice, and hope.

The show includes well-known songs like I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, One Day More, and Do You Hear the People Sing?.

The theatre company previously brought Les Misérables to Wyre Forest in 2018, and is excited to retell the story with a new cast.

Performances are set for 7.30pm from Tuesday to Friday, with two shows on Saturday at 2pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets can be purchased from the theatre's box office or website.

Additionally, the theatre group is inviting children and young people aged three to 18 to an open day on Sunday, June 22, at their Green Street studios.

The open day offers a chance to try out Musical Theatre, Dance, and new Acting classes.

Talking Props is a recognised school with the Council for dance, drama, and musical theatre.
