A popular splashpad at a park in Kidderminster is set to reopen this weekend.

In an update on social media, Wyre Forest District Council said the splashpad at Brinton Park will be reopening tomorrow (Saturday, May 31).

The splashpad will be open daily from 11am until 5pm, but might close between 2pm and 3pm for safety checks and cleaning.

In a post on social media, Wyre Forest District Council said: "We are pleased to let you know that the splashpad at Brinton Park will be reopening tomorrow, Saturday 31 May, and will be open daily from 11am to 5pm. Please be aware the splashpad may close between 2pm and 3pm for safety checks and cleaning.

"To keep it fun and safe for everyone, here's a quick round-up of the rules: For under 12s only - adults must supervise at all times, wear swimwear and pool shoes, swim nappies are required for little ones not toilet trained, share the space and watch out for younger children, no drinking the water or adding soap, no bottles, food, drinks, bikes, scooters, or dogs, no running - stay on your feet.

"Thank you for your patience whilst our team fixed the issue and carried out safety tests."

The news comes after the splashpad was forced to close a couple of weeks ago due to a technical problem that required "immediate attention".

Meanwhile, the Riverside Paddling Pool in Stourport is also out of action, with Stourport Town Council confirming that repair work means the attraction won't open at all this summer.

Repairs to the pipeline are needed underneath the paddling pool, whilst a sustained period of clear, dry weather will be necessary to relay the pool’s surface.

The paddling pool at St George's Park in Kidderminster has been closed for years, with hopes that it will reopen in 2026.
