A Kidderminster drama group are set to stage a "darkly funny" whodunnit packed with suspense, laughter and mystery.

Kidderminster Operatic and Dramatic Society (KODS) are performing Bettine Manktelow's dramatic comedy 'Curtain Up on Murder' at The Rose Theatre this September.

An amateur theatre group is rehearsing at a theatre at the end of a pier, on a dark and stormy night.

Tempers flare, secrets spill, and - in true theatrical fashion - someone tries to steal the spotlight, only this time, by killing.

Who will survive, and who won’t make it to the final bow? Well, you’ll have to buy a ticket to find out.

The show's director Laura-Jo McConnell said: "I was delighted - if not a little suspicious - to be asked to direct the KODS play once again.

"The cast have been killing themselves with the hard work they’ve put in to making this a dead good show."

This darkly funny whodunnit promises laughter, suspense, and more than a few deadly surprises.

Kidderminster Operatic and Dramatic Society has been entertaining local audiences for well over a century.

With a proud history of musical theatre, drama, and comedy, KODS continues to bring high-quality amateur productions to the Wyre Forest area.

The society welcomes new members both onstage and behind the scenes, as at KODS, there’s always room for more drama.

KODS presents Curtain Up on Murder at The Rose Theatre, Kidderminster, from September 17 to September 20.

Tickets are available from the box office or online at www.rosetheatre.co.uk
