The council has issued an update on the planned closure of a much-loved nature reserve for work to improve access for visitors.
Habberley Valley Nature Reserve was due to be closed today (Wednesday January 7) and Thursday (January 8) to allow for work to resurface the main entrance track to the site.
Wyre Forest District Council said it is "investing in improvements to make your visits even better", but in an update today (Wednesday, January 7), it confirmed the planned works had been postponed due to bad weather.
A spokesperson said: "Unfortunately, the planned resurfacing works scheduled for today (Wednesday, January 7) and tomorrow (Thursday, January 8) have been postponed due to cold weather conditions.
"Cold temperatures affect the road surfacing materials and prevent them from bonding properly, which would result in a poor-quality repair. We'll reschedule the works for when conditions are more suitable to ensure a long-lasting, safe road surface.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and will share the new dates as soon as they're confirmed."
