A nature reserve in Kidderminster is set to close for improvement work.

Wyre Forest District Council said Habberley Valley Nature Reserve will be closed tomorrow (Thursday, January 15) and Friday (January 16) while essential resurfacing works take place on the main entrance track.

The plans were postponed last week due to the cold weather.

In a post on social media, Wyre Forest District Council said: "These works will address the potholes along the tarmac section between the main road and the visitor car park, making sure there is a smoother and safer experience for visitors throughout the year.

"The reserve will be fully reopened by Saturday (January 17), and we look forward to welcoming you back then.

"Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these important improvements. While the reserve is closed, why not visit one of our other beautiful nature reserves nearby."
