I NOTE with interest the investigation currently being carried out on the street lighting on the river bridge in Stourport and that the updated lighting is due to be installed in a few weeks’ time.
My first thought is that it doesn’t say a lot for the first set of lights.
Were they under-specced or just unsuitable for the job?

And who will meet the cost of this work?
Secondly, would it not be a good idea to carry out repairs to the potholes on the bridge during the period when the updated lights are being installed thus preventing a further bridge closure with the disruption that entails as a result?
