A GREEN energy fair is aims to help households save money and cut their carbon footprint.
Wyre Forest Green Alliance (WFGA) and Transition Bewdley are hosting the event at St George’s Hall in Bewdley on Saturday, February 14, from 10am to 2pm.
Themed: save energy, save money, the fair will highlight practical ways to reduce energy use, lower costs, and explore alternatives to fossil fuels.
John Rhymer, chair of WFGA, said: "Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with experts and get impartial advice tailored to their needs.
"There is so much misinformation and misunderstandings about renewable energy, planet friendly transport etc. so we have also arranged a programme of short talks, followed by questions, offering practical insights and real-life experiences of local people.
"As it is on Valentine’s Day, people might like to consider how adopting some of the measures could make their homes more energy efficient so that next year romantic evenings will be cosier!"
Exhibitors will include specialists in solar and wind energy, heat pumps, insulation, electric vehicles and consumer advice.
The event will also feature children’s activities, artists and craft stalls.
Organisers hope the fair will encourage more people to take practical steps towards greener homes and more sustainable lifestyles.
Entry is free and open to all.
