A sand park in Bewdley will be closed for a day.

Bewdley Town Council said Wyre Hill Sand Park will be closed on Monday (February 16).

The closure is needed to replenish the sand levels in the play area.

The park will reopen on Tuesday (February 17).

In a post, Bewdley Town Council said: "Council staff will be working to replenish the sand levels in the play area, so for safety reasons the park needs to be closed for the day.

"It has been necessary to complete the work during school holidays to enable access to the park via St Anne's Primary School. The park will be open again on Tuesday (February 17).

"Sorry for any inconvenience."
