A popular vintage shop in Kidderminster that provided props to the creators of Peaky Blinders is set to host a special sale to mark VE Day.

Vintage Dolly, which is located in Unit 3 of the Meadow Mills Industrial Estate on Dixon Street, will host the VE Day sale tomorrow (Friday, May 8) between 10am and 9pm, with this sale set to continue into Saturday (May 9) and Sunday (May 10).

The 4,000 square foot shop, which is crammed full of all things vintage and antique, is owned by husband and wife, Stuart and Emma Tighe, who are encouraging locals to bag themselves a bargain at the event.

The VE Day sale will also feature 28 vendors, including The Vanity Case, which specialises in vintage clothing and accessories and boasts over 145,000 followers on TikTok.

"We are going to be doing knockdown prices on a lot of items," Stuart said.

"When people see the word 'sale', they think that there might be a bargain to be had, and that is what we are offering."

For Stuart and Emma, the VE Day sale is another opportunity to showcase their love for all things vintage, with the pair's antique journey starting over a decade and a half ago.

Stuart said: "I've been with Emma for 16 years, and we had a 1940s-themed wedding at the Severn Valley Railway, and we bought lots of props for it.

"After we got married, my wife asked what we were going to do with all the props, and I thought, 'why don't we sell it all?', and it has all stemmed from there.

"We have always had a passion for buying things. We have been to auctions, house clearances, and we even went on Bargain Hunt in 2018.

"We are just really passionate about this."
