BROADWATERS Mill Park in Kidderminster has once again been recognised as one of the country’s best green spaces after retaining its Green Flag Award.
Kidderminster Town Council confirmed the park has achieved the accolade for 2026, as the international scheme marks its 30th anniversary.
Broadwaters Mill Park is among a record 2,391 parks and green spaces across the UK to receive the award this year, which recognises high standards of maintenance, safety and community value.
The honour reflects the work of the council’s operational services team, volunteers and the Friends of Broadwaters Mill Park in maintaining the site.
Helen Dyke, chair of the services committee, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Broadwaters Mill Park has once again been recognised with a Green Flag Award.
“This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our team, volunteers and everyone who takes pride in caring for this wonderful park.”
The Mayor of Kidderminster said: "Places like Broadwaters Park are at the heart of our community.
"It provides a space for all ages of people to enjoy, relax, and connect with nature.
"Maintaining such a wonderful space takes teamwork, and this recognition is a wonderful testament to everyone who plays a part in looking after it."
Paul Todd, Green Flag Award manager at Keep Britain Tidy, said parks play a vital role in supporting wellbeing and communities.
He said: “The team at Kidderminster Town Council have shown what can be achieved when parks are properly supported and managed.”
The Green Flag Award scheme, run by Keep Britain Tidy, is the benchmark for well-managed parks and green spaces in the UK and internationally.
Council leaders said they remain committed to maintaining high standards at Broadwaters Mill Park so it can continue to be enjoyed by residents and visitors for years to come.
