KIDDERMINSTER audiences are promised a chilling night of Victorian true crime this autumn, as the author of a new stage show claims he will finally reveal the identity of Jack the Ripper.

An Evening with Jack the Ripper comes to Kidderminster Town Hall on September 3, written and hosted by award-winning producer and broadcaster Steve Morgan.

The show will lead audiences into the 'sordid realms' of Victorian London, retracing the footsteps of the Ripper’s victims and following the trail of the killer through the streets of the East End.

Mr Morgan said: “I'm convinced that by the end of this show the audience will have stared into the eyes of Jack the Ripper.

"The only people to have previously done so were his victims. This time, however, the audience will live to tell the tale.”

Mr Morgan has already captivated thousands on his guided Ripper Walks in London, where he explores the case on location.

This new production adapts that experience for the stage, inviting local theatregoers on a dark voyage into one of history’s most notorious unsolved crimes, with the promise of a dramatic unmasking at its climax.
