KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Paul Wotton has praised the community's 'magnificent' response to the club's player accommodation appeal.

The Harriers released an appeal last week, inviting local individuals and families to support the club's players by providing a 'safe, welcoming, and comfortable place' to stay.

According to the club, securing suitable accommodation for a small number of players from outside the Kidderminster area would play an 'important part' in making moves to Aggborough possible for new players.

As the club continues its preparations for the 2026/27 National League campaign, which have included a 5-0 pre-season victory over Stratford Town and a 2-0 win against Halesowen Town, boss Paul Wotton has praised the community's 'magnificent' response to the Harriers' appeal.

According to the former Plymouth Argyle and Southampton man, it is important to ensure that his players have a stable environment off the field so that they can produce their best on the pitch.

Speaking on the Harriers' YouTube channel, he said: "Signing a player isn't just about getting them on the pitch for 90 minutes; we've got a duty of care to the player, and we need to look after them.

"The club is fantastic at that.

"They really look after our boys.

"There's been a really good response too, which is excellent.

"You don't want to be bombarded with football questions all the time.

"Being a football player is quite intense, so it's important they have time off from that.

"When we asked for help, the response has been magnificent.

"It's a fantastic football club, and we've got lots of people wanting to help us out."
