A new café is set to open in one of the town’s most popular parks.

Little Al’s Kitchen has been named the preferred operator for the Pavilion in the Park café in Kidderminster’s Brinton Park following an evaluation process by Wyre Forest District Council.

The Worcestershire-based business, known for its community-focused approach and use of locally sourced produce, will bring fresh food and drink to the heart of the park once final arrangements are made.

Councillor David Ross, deputy leader and cabinet member for finance and capital portfolio at Wyre Forest District Council, said: "We are delighted to be moving forward with Little Al's Kitchen as our preferred operator for the new café at Brinton Park.

"From the outset, we wanted this café to be much more than somewhere to grab a coffee.

"We were looking for a partner that shared our vision of creating a welcoming, inclusive space that brings people together and enhances everything Brinton Park has to offer.

"Little Al's Kitchen impressed us with its strong community focus, commitment to quality and experience of creating thriving café environments.

"We believe they will be an excellent fit for the park and the local community."

The selection follows a competitive evaluation process that attracted significant interest from potential operators.

Brinton Park is one of the town's most cherished green spaces, and the council hopes the new café will become a popular spot for families, walkers, and community groups.

Alex Daw, of Little Al's Kitchen, said: "We are thrilled to have been identified as the preferred operator for the Brinton Park café.

"Brinton Park is a fantastic community space and we are excited about the opportunity to create a café that complements the park and provides a warm welcome for everyone who visits.

"We look forward to working with the council and sharing more details as plans progress."

The council is now working with Little Al’s Kitchen to finalise contractual arrangements and complete the necessary legal processes.

Further announcements, including opening plans, will be made once these arrangements have been completed.

The Pavilion in the Park forms part of wider investment in Brinton Park to enhance its facilities and long-term appeal for residents and visitors.
